OSSMA have joined forces with the Local Authority to deliver Adult Classes here at our academy.

We will be offering the following courses which we hope will be of interest to you:

  • Functional Maths
  • Functional English
  • Computer Courses (ICT)
  • Holiday Spanish
  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Counselling for beginners (For those considering counselling as a career)
  • Cooking Courses:

             o   Asian

             o   Italian

             o   Family Feast

             o   Takeaway Favourites Without The Fats

  • First Aid at Work Level 2
Costs:

Community Learning

JSA, ESA and Income Support Claimants – Free Employability and Personal Development courses (e.g. Computers for Absolute Beginners, Counselling Skills, etc.)
£5 discount for learners able to evidence living in Stoke-on-Trent City Council area.

Accredited Learning

Functional English and Math’s – If you don’t have GCSE Grade C in Math’s and English, then our Functional Skills courses are completely FREE
Many of our courses are free for those people on Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance –WRAG (e.g. Functional ICT, Emergency First Aid)

Times are flexible but will generally be around 6.00pm until 8.00pm

Please be assured that we will carry out an assessment of your skills on the enrollment evening (Date TBC) prior to the course starting, to ensure the course is at an appropriate level for you.

Our courses will be delivered in a friendly informal manner at a pace suited to you, so we hope you can come along and maybe bring a friend or other family member too.
