On Monday September 12th 2016, two of our wonderful Year 10 students, Victoria and Luke, attended the BGC Charity Day in London to support the Sir Stanley Matthews Coaching Foundation. We were very excited to have been invited back for the second year running.
Every year, BGC Partners and Cantor Fitzgerald, in conjunction with the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, commemorate the 658 friends and colleagues, and also the 61 Eurobrokers employees, who perished in the World Trade Centre attacks on September 11, 2001.
This year, the charity raised globally approximately $12 million in one day for charities around the world.
For more information on the BGC Charity Day, read their press release here.
Jean Gough, daughter of legendary footballer Sir Stanley Matthews, thanked all involved in supporting the Sir Stanley Matthews Coaching Foundation, saying,
“Everyone did us proud. For their schools, the Foundation and Stoke-on-Trent.”
“I hope you all enjoyed the day meeting all the celebrities.”
Victoria and Luke went celebrity spotting and here’s their results…
