A new text messaging service for 11-19 year olds in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire, which they can use for confidential advice and support from their School Nurse, is now live.
Chat Health has been introduced by Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s (MPFT’s) School Nurses, and is an easy way for young people to confidentially ask for help about a range of issues, or make an appointment to see a School Nurse. This is designed to complement the drop-in’s already established within the school and allow young people another avenue for support.
The confidential text service will primarily encourage young people to communicate with the School Nursing team, in a medium they are most used to. It is staffed by qualified School Nurses from Monday to Friday between 9am – 5pm and will support young people with their general health and emotional wellbeing. They are happy to accept texts from Parents and Carers too. Chat Health is an established service that is widely used in over 40 areas of the country by School Nurses
The Text Number for their service is : 07520 615723
