Back in July, 3 groups of Year 9 students attending a workshop at the Exotic Zoo in Telford.
The aim of the workshop was to introduce students to the career opportunities available working with animals.
Students discussed the Health & Welfare of the animals, including, how to look after different animal needs and the types of diseases different animals suffer with.
They looked at the varying foods that different animals eat and the types of living arrangements that certain animals prefer.
After their classroom session, they got hands-on with the animals, checking their health and welfare and seeing what it is like to look after wild animals.
A big thank you to The Exotic Zoo Academy for looking after us and also to Higher Horizons for arranging the days.
