Free School Meal Entitlement During Academy Shutdown

Posted on: March 19, 2020

As some of you may already be aware, we have started to provide delivered packed lunches to students entitled to free school meals who may be either self-isolating or social distancing due to underlying conditions.

We intend to continue this provision from Monday 23rd March for all students that are registered for Free School Meals.

Any student that is registered as having a Free School Meal at OSSMA will be entitled to a free lunch. This will be delivered to you at home by our partners, Bee Active from 11am onwards each weekday.

Please follow the below link if you would like to request a vegetarian or vegan meal for your child.

We will also be offering a free breakfast collection service where any student can come into the academy and collect a free breakfast between the hours of 8am and 10am.

Please be aware that this is a collection service only and to keep in line with hygiene and social distancing guidelines, we will not be allowing a sit-down service. Food must be taken off-site to be consumed.

Please do not come to the academy if you, or someone in your household, is currently self-isolating due to showing symptoms of COVID-19.

Any student of a “key worker” or student classed as vulnerable by definition of the government guidelines, who has registered to attend the academy from Monday 23rd March, will also be given a free breakfast and lunch as part of their school day.
