On Monday 18th September 2017, OSSMA Sixth Form have organised a colour run, along with a netball and basketball tournament between sixth form students and staff.
The proceedings will take place from 4pm onwards, and will raise money for Animal Lifeline Stoke-on-Trent.
Animal Lifeline is a voluntary group and a registered charity founded more than 41 years ago and is based in Stoke-on-Trent. Its purpose is to save abandoned and unwanted dogs and puppies and find them new homes and loving owners.
The colour run will take place at approximately 4:30pm and is open to anyone who wishes to participate for a small donation of £2.50; runners will receive sweets, drink and a pouch of colour powder.
It must be stated that the colour powder has been tested and deemed suitable for even sensitive skin and additionally washes away easily from both skin and hair. However, we would advise that glasses or goggles are worn for eye protection.
The colour run will be a minimum of one lap around the academy running track and there will be stalls on the pathway where food, drink and other creative purchases can be made.
Following this, the basketball and netball tournament will take place in the sports hall. There will be music and a friendly but competitive atmosphere as we find out who really is the best! Netball will be for the female volunteers and basketball for the males and there will be a forfeit for the two losing teams. The cost is £1.50 to watch and seats will be provided.
Tickets can be purchased from the sixth form students.
Parents, Grandparents and friends of the academy are welcome, so please come along and choose your side. Staff or Student?
