The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery’s Forum Theatre marked Holocaust Memorial Day with a special event on Sunday 27th January 2014. Lord Mayor Sheila Pitt was among the guests as pupils from Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy read out poems, with representatives from Staffordshire University and the city council also present.
The students told the story of the journey from prejudice and discrimination to the “final solution”. They read from three books, The Diary of Anne Frank ,The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and From Belson to Buckingham Palace.
