Open Evening

I am delighted to invite you to a number of events at Ormiston Sir Stanley Mathews Academy that I hope will convince you that we are the best academy in the city and an ideal choice for your son / daughters future education.

The improvements we have made since opening in our new £20 million academy have meant that we believe the academy is the best choice for secondary education not only in Stoke-on-Trent, but across North Staffordshire as a whole.

Our recent achievements are:-

– Overall “Good with Outstanding features” – Ofsted May 2013

– 74% with 5 A*-C  including English & Maths (Summer 2014)

I hope you will be able to join us at one of our events to showcase the good practice you will find happening every day in the academy.

From Monday 6th to Friday 10th October we have an Open Week’ where you can visit the academy for tours at 9.30am, 11.30am and 1.30pm, (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday) and 9.30am, 11.30am (Wednesday) to see the wide range of excellent facilities and our lessons with high quality learning.

On Wednesday 24th September we are hosting an Open Evening’ to ‘Meet the Principal’ at 6.15pm and 7.00pm and to tour the academy to meet students and staff.

Due to the limited space available in our theatre please ensure that you only attend the presentation allocated to your identified school below:

The academy not only offers an excellent education, but also provides a free school uniform and PE Kit to all Y7, a current free bus service to Y7 living outside the immediate area, a Summer School and a wide range of free extra-curricular activities before and after the normal working day.

Parking for visitors is available on the Main Car Park off Beaconsfield Drive. Please do not park on the driveway to the reception. Limited disabled spaces are available at OSSMA, but a disabled badge must be displayed on your windscreen.

Light refreshments are available in our Bistro from 6.45pm
