Remembering Jack Crooke

Posted on: December 31, 2020

All of us at Ormiston Sir Stanley Matthews Academy are deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of a very popular former pupil, Jack Crooke, who left our school in the summer at the end of Year 11.

Jack was such a lovely, polite and personable young man, and a pleasure to teach. He had a very close friendship group but was popular across year groups, reflected by the pupils of all ages who have paid tribute to him.

Though a former pupil, Jack’s passing has been deeply felt by many pupils and staff still at our school, and we are providing support to those affected by this tragic event.

Our deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers go to all of Jack’s family and friends. We would respectfully request that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.
