On Friday 20th March 2015, millions of people in the UK and northern Europe glimpsed the best solar eclipse in years.
A great swathe of the Earth’s surface was plunged into darkness as the Moon came between Earth and the Sun. Some of our students had the opportunity to view this event using pin hole camera’s. It didn’t go as dark as we had anticipated, but we did experience a sudden drop in temperature.
The UK will not experience a solar eclipse on this scale again until 2026.
Here is what the solar eclipse looked like over OSSMA.
