Earlier this week, some of our Sixth Form students learned some ‘life skills’ as part of their PSHE programme and took part in an intensive cooking session with Food Technology teacher Mrs. Light.
In order to prepare them for University life, the students learnt how to cook on a budget and made spaghetti bolognaise from scratch.
After some, unpeeled, garlic disasters and gasps at old fashioned tin openers, the students thoroughly enjoyed the lesson and said that they felt like the session had “set them up well” for their time at Uni. So now they have no excuses to eat Pot Noodles for every meal!
