We asked you to share with us your “Stay at Home” celebrations this VE Day. Some of our staff and students have been having some great garden parties as seen below, and some great stories of relatives that served in WWII.

The man in this photo is Mrs Peach’s Great Uncle Ron, who went off to fight for his country and didn’t come back. Also, a photo of his CWGC certificate, showing his final resting place.
The lady is Mrs Peach’s Grandma, Dorothy. She did her bit for the war by signing up as a Land Girl. She was sent to work on the farm belonging to Mrs Peach’s Grandad’s family- and they got married!
